Client Update: Adapting to Industry Changes with Confidence
The tech and tax landscape is rapidly evolving, with changes in HMRC regulations, tax rates, and Making Tax Digital reshaping the industry.
While these shifts are significant, we are fully prepared with backup solutions and a dedicated team working around the clock to ensure smooth navigation through these transitions.
We understand that many businesses are facing tough decisions, from price adjustments to operational shifts, and we are not immune to these challenges. However, our focus remains on stability, strategic adaptation, and ensuring that our clients experience minimal disruption.
Latest Updates & Actions Taken
SENTA: 01 May 2025 - Now part of IRIS, and while a migration tool was expected and no issues with the changes, today’s tech issues were unexpected. We are actively working on a resolution and will update you once we receive confirmation from the software provider.
BRIGHTPAY: Transitioning from desktop payroll to a cloud-only model, including price increases that we will be absorbing whilst we review our current position. Our team is undergoing training to ensure seamless adaptation to NIC updates and the new software. This does not affect clients as we have decided not to change to a cheaper software so access from the business owner view remains the same. The changes mostly affect the set up and behind the scenes that we are working through.
QUICKBOOKS: Improving and rolling out enhanced document sharing, receipt capture, and new tools, which we are actively implementing to improve workflow and efficiency.
MICROSOFT: Exploring additional document sharing and backup solutions beyond our existing structure for added security and accessibility. Utilising Teams for video calling and webinars. We are also reviewing share point as a potential location to house our educational webinars and content away from third party software Teachable.
GOOGLE: As above
DEXT: Significant price increase required a strategic shift. We successfully migrated all client data to QuickBooks to avoid increased costs, but clients who wish to continue using DEXT have the option to pay the additional fee.
WEBSITE: Due to an unplanned transition from our previous web host, we acted swiftly to secure a new domain, trademark, and independent website was set up within hours of us being alerted of the email issues. This move was always in our long-term plan, ensuring greater control, stability, and fewer third-party dependencies moving forward.
Next Steps: All future updates will now be housed on our website, ensuring a central location for real-time updates and streamlined communications. This is also important to us as transparency is something that we actively encourage and promote.
We appreciate your patience and trust as we navigate these changes together, and we remain committed to providing the same high-quality service while adapting to industry shifts.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We’re here to support you!
We are actively encouraging all clients to utilise the free monthly check in service that is available to all clients. This offer is something that brings huge value to those that utilise it. Those that do have the check in calls report feeling more supported and assured with their tax and business position.
